Clothes and Household Items

For most of these items the greenest solution is also the most generous. There are many organizations around Arkansas that look for these types of donations to either give directly to individuals who are most in need of them or will take your unwanted goods and sell them at reasonable prices in order to raise money for their particular cause. Often times donations are tax deductible and will even be picked up from your home. Below are just a few places in Arkansas that can assist you with these donations:

Rather than choosing the traditional donation route, individuals can post their unwanted items through this national grassroots network. Local groups for most communities are set up -- and moderated by a local volunteer -- to allow you to post your item similiar to a classified ad to give away. You can also browse to see if there is anything posted that might be of use to you. This is a great form of reuse and a way to keep useful items out of our landfills. One person's trash is another's treasure!
